January 2008: Analytical Decisions is appointed to develop a Heathrow-wide baggage strategy.

November 2007: Analytical Decisions studies the impact of new US carriers operating from Heathrow. This includes sizing of the screening facilities required to comply with TSA protocols.

June 2007: Analytical Decisions studies upgrade and replacement options for London Luton Airport.

March 2007: Analytical Decisions is appointed to work on the redevelopment of Heathrow Airport post-T5. Assignments include the development of an innovative baggage handling concept and the modelling of its performance.

January 2007: Analytical Decisions extends its UML modelling capability to include SysML – the system engineering extension to UML. This provides the ability to model and define not only software-related projects, but also those that involve physical aspects too.

November 2006: Analytical Decisions completes a support assignment for London Luton Airport. The work included an analysis of the existing baggage handling system with recommendations for enhancements and operational improvements. The assignment also included the development of a performance-based service level agreement and the selection of a new maintenance contractor.

September 2006: Analytical Decisions delivers uPLAN, its aircraft container planning tool, to BAA and British Airways.

September 2006: Analytical Decisions wins contract to provide continuing support for Personal Rapid Transit systems development for BAA.

May 2006: Analytical Decisions wins contract to study design requirements for the new Heathrow East Terminal project.

January 2006: Analytical Decisions celebrates its first five years.

December 2005: Analytical Decisions completes the first part of its contract for London Luton Airport. This phase of work was a technical appraisal of its baggage handling systems, identifying key performance bottlenecks and options for increasing throughput. This work is a precursor to the development of a performance-based service level agreement covering maintenance of the baggage system.

August 2005: Analytical Decisions invests in Rational RequsitePro as its requirements management tool of choice.

July 2005: Analytical Decisions selects the Rational Unified Process as its systems development and delivery process of choice.

May 2005: Analytical Decisions completes investment in UML tooling to provide additional support for requirements capture, system analysis and design. The UML (Unified Modelling Language) provides a coherent and consistent framework for describing systems. It can be used by clients, analysts, developers and testers. By providing a common language for all these stakeholders, problems with misunderstandings and different interpretations are minimised, resulting in better quality statements of requirements and design documentation.

December 2004: Analytical Decisions carries out concept design study for a new airport terminal at Erbil.

November 2004: Analytical Decisions starts implementation of "collaborative working" toolset to support distributed project management and execution.

February 2004: John Beasley to give presentation at Passenger Terminal Expo 2004. The title is "Complexity and Confidence".

November 2003: Analytical Decisions completes extended series of tests at the Terminal 5 test and demonstration system.

March 2003: Analytical Decisions Ltd hires staff and wins contract to provide Trials Manager for the Terminal 5 test and demonstration system.

December 2002: Analytical Decisions Ltd extends modelling support to include Availability, Reliability and Maintainabilty.

October 2002: Analytical Decisions Ltd wins study contract from Heathrow Airport to investigate options for connecting existing terminal baggage systems to Terminal 5.
